READINGS
USING MS WORD FOR APA TASKS
This reading begins with discussing what the two delete buttons are used for on the keyboard. It educates the user on saving valuable time. It informs you on how to use dashes and hyphens, how to highlight a huge block of text, to remove hyperlinks simplifying it by expressing a number of different methods. It shows how to use each function and defines how each concept works. This is extremely useful as it shows the best use of each aspect and how you can save your time and getting your work done quicker.
ADOBE PHOTOSHOP
This is the introduction to all those files that we save things under, normally not taking any notice what each is for.
Bitmap (.bmp) - image format file
CompuServer (.gif) - Minimizes file transfer time
Joint Photographic Experts Group or Jpeg (.jpg) - Display images on the internet, retains all colour information
The Tagged- Image File Format (.tiff)- Exchanges files over computer applications and platforms
Photoshop Document (.psd/ .psp/ .spp)- Image formats flat images.
TUTORIAL ACTIVITIES

During the tutorial we approached simple exercises that enabled us to experience MS Word and MS Excel. I particularly enjoyed the excel activity as I am not familiar with this program. The MS Word program did appear to be quite easy as I have experimented with this beforehand. I suppose it is a great guide to newcomers.
